Tamara Dorris is an author whos definitely following her own advice. In her newly published book, Girl Gets World! And You Can Too, Dorris talks to women in a one-on-one style showing them they can do anything they put there mind to...literally. Her claim is that the way we think and use our minds has everything to do with our success. Based on her own life story, it just might be true.

The author proudly promotes the fact that by living the very methods spouted in her book, she has risen up from a less than glamorous, high-school drop-out beginning.
If I can hold down a full time job, attend college, finish graduate school, raise four kids, and write four books and a movie, when I started off on welfare...you can too." She shows compassion and support but insists that we all control our own destiny, and that nothing is set in stone.

The author is currently exploring opportunities to facilitate some pro bono workshops with local womens and girls groups that focus on goal-setting and increased self-esteem. She intends to donate a portion of the profits from Girl Gets World! And You Can Too! To the same groups. Tamaras second book, See How They Sell-Success in Real Estate Sales, is slated for national distribution this fall. Her two other books are due out in November.
