To Whom It May Concern:

Madison power-pop trio, Sunspot, is pleased to announce a weeklong tour to the East Coast for the week of August 5th to August 12th, 2001. Following a very successful Baltimore outing in April, where Sunspot found a receptive and enthusiastic response to their melodic brand of modern rock, they have booked shows in Boston, Annapolis, Washington D.C., and New York City. After showcasing their act to the Midwest for the past several years, Sunspot is excited to take their intricate vocal harmonies, tight rhythms, and catchy, emotional songs to a new audience. They know that they can show the East Coast the best that Midwestern music has to offer.

Bypassing the usual wait three months to get a call back" booking agents, Sunspot cemented these gigs by aggressively calling popular rock clubs on the East Coast, and created a demand for their music by actively pursuing radio airplay and using the Internet to promote their music. You could often find Sunspot playing their songs (live!) online on Internet chat rooms and websites for people who might otherwise never get a chance to hear their music. Testing the waters on the Internet, Sunspot found such an passionate reaction, they realized it was time to get out there and show the Eastern seaboard what a live Sunspot show was like: a tornado of non-stop energy, blazing guitar work, killer grooves, and compelling music.

Critically compared to modern rockers like Everclear and the Foo Fighters, Sunspot has never been a band to wait around for the rest of America to come to them, so theyve decided to bring their music right to the people who need to hear it. Independent and original, Sunspot is ready for the national stage. Sunspot has been heard on such Wisconsin stations as WJJO, WMAD, WIBA, WFBZ, WLZR, WLUM, WSUW, and WAPL. They are currently enjoying popularity on HBA National Radio in the UK as well, so its only a matter of time before they take their music to the world audience.
