As Students Return to Classes, Campuscounselor.com Swings into High Gear

Greenwood Village, CO, 8/20/01. The end of August always means the imminent return to school for students of all ages. For high school juniors and seniors, it also means the return to the search for the perfect college. Campuscounselor.com is poised to help.

After a long, hot summer of development, Campuscounselor.com has begun an aggressive marketing campaign to increase awareness among students and high school counselors. This two-pronged appraoch to marketing emphasizes Campuscounselor.com's dedication to an inclusive method of college counseling. By targeting both students and their counselors, Campuscounselor.com can ensure that its resources are used to their full capabilities.

High schools are already excited about working with Campuscounselor.com to counsel students about this vital decision. Not only does the site serve as a single base for student-counselor, student-parent and student-college communication, but use of the service can also help high schools obtain, for free, Campuscounselor.com's new CD packages. If a counseling office encourages students to use Campuscounselor.com's resources, CDs will be automatically shipped to the high school free of charge, providing another valuable resource for college counseling.

Over the course of the next year, Campuscounselor.com will expand its services even further. According to CEO Amit Mrig, "this is just the beginning. By this time next year, we'll be able to offer a full range of services, including an updated version of our search engine, services for incoming graduate students and an expanded array of services for international applicants."

But for now, the goal is build a solid base of users. Kevin Kientz, Vice President of Research and Analysis, notes that "interest will only build interest. The more students express interest in the site, the more high schools will get involved. More high schools will bring more colleges, and more colleges will bring even more students." And Mrig notes that "our system stresses the relationships between different users. We need all types to make Campuscounselor.com work to everyone's best advantage."

The next several months will be tumultuous but vitally important for Campuscounselor.com. As students return to school, Campuscounselor.com is poised to help propell them to college.
