The Office of the Attorney General of Mississippi has launched a redesigned and better organized Web site that offers citizens an easier way to search for information from the agency.

Working with Jackson-based D2 Interactive, the offices Web site (http://www.ago.state.ms.us) offers an easier user navigation, whereby visitors can track down information about the office, along with intuitive links to other state and national governmental agencies.

Since the sites implementation in May, compliments have been coming in about its straightforward design, said Don Tiep, systems administrator for the office. Weve had people say how well the site is organized, making it easier to navigate," he said.

The sites archived news area gives viewers access to documents and releases covering a wide variety of topics. Some of the easily accessible information includes details on the states tobacco litigation and the Ayers college desegregation case.

Another section of the cross browser-compatible site describes the duties and roles of the various divisions of the office, like Medicaid fraud investigations, consumer protection and criminal litigation. Visitors have the option of contacting the departments for more information.

Charlie Malouf, CEO of D2 Interactive, said: "The Office of the Attorney General approached us with a need to redesign and re-organize their Web site, which had become out-dated. We received tremendous feedback and effort from the AG's Office, especially from Don Tiep and Rick Moore (the offices system manager), during this project. The Attorney General's revamped Web site features an appealing and browser-compatible design coupled with a user-friendly navigation.

We are extremely proud to have been selected to work with the Attorney General's Office for this project," Malouf said.
