PRESS RELEASE
BACK TO THE FUTURE ?
The 18th September, 2001 will see a major, international new player burst
into the global art and antiques market. Davidson & Morgan Fine and
Decorative Antiques are opening new premises at number 5, Church Street,
London.
Whats new?
Davidson & Morgan have created the perfect environment to display some of
the finest art and antiques from around the globe. Browse through the two
floors and if you admire an item, and would like to see how it looks in your
home or office, we will deliver it to you for a trial period.
Why the future?
Although Davidson & Morgan deal in treasures of the past, they are totally
au fait with modern technology. Give them your email address and details of
the items you desire and they will search the globe to find the perfect
piece at the right price for you. You will be sent images, prices and
pictures by email to see if the piece is suitable. This personal service
will be available to everyone for the first time at Davidson & Morgan.
Interiors today are eclectic, mixing period, contemporary, personal and
eccentric, to give a unique style. Davidson & Morgan can source a sofa,
circa 2001, from Edra, Italy, and just as easily find you a Louis XV gilt
wood mirror.
Whats their history?
Edward Davidson was born with an antique spoon in his mouth
His Father Eric Davidson is a legend within the antique business. Established in Edinburgh
and now in Paris, he has been dealing for over 35 years. Edward trained at
Christies, then spent two years in the United States and five years in Spain
before becoming involved with Interior Internet at the start of their
ascendancy to the world¹s largest website for interiors. After Interior
Internet, he realized how this technology could be applied to the European
antiques market
Ruth Morgan, now Davidson, started her career with Harrods, where she led
their display and concept. After moving to the Far East, she gained an
intricate knowledge of the Eastern markets and a true understanding of
global retailing. Recently, she has worked with some of Europe¹s finest
magazines and photographers.
The opening
On the evening of 18th September, 2001. Drinks and canapés will be served
from 6.30 pm onwards at 5 Church Street, London, NW8 8EE
