RENO, NEVADA -- (PRnetwire) -- September 18, 2001 -- Successful elementary school teacher and playwright, T. Cory Hansen, enjoys sharing his creativity with the children he interacts with on a daily basis. His children's story debut, The Last Little Pumpkin (available for download at www.eBookMall.com), is a story about a little pumpkin that must persevere as the smallest pumpkin in the patch.
Like every pumpkin in the pumpkin patch, Little Pumpkin looks forward to harvest time. Little Pumpkin dreams of becoming a delicious dessert or a jack-o-lantern. However, his dreams aren't as easy to accomplish as he had thought. As the workers pick each pumpkin in the patch, he wonders when his turn will come.
Published as an eBook in Adobe PDF format, Little Pumpkin demonstrates that through determination even the "little guy" can have the greatest impact on someone's day. "Little Pumpkin is not a character that we should feel pity towards," notes Hansen, "he should teach children that size does not matter. We can all achieve our dreams even when it appears impossible."
Accomplished artist, Carol Foldvary-Anderson, colorfully captures Hansen's charming children's story with her vivid illustrations. Her illustrations focus on Little Pumpkin and his emotions throughout the book. Children will love this harvest and Halloween tale.
Hansen resides in Reno, Nevada, where he is not only hard at work on future children's stories, but is a father, educator and is continuing his own education. Foldvary-Anderson is also a Nevada resident. She teaches multiple artistic styles and is very active in the community. Both author and illustrator will be conducting workshops at the Great Basin Book Festival (Reno, Nevada) at the end of September.
