Somerville, MA, September 21, 2001- Political Research Associates (PRA) representatives will appear at two local progressive events next week. President Jean Hardisty will participate in a discussion entitled “Sex, Lies, and Feminism” sponsored by Greater Boston NOW on Monday, September 24, from 6pm – 9pm on the 4th floor of the Boston University Barnes and Noble, in Kenmore Square, Boston.

Dr. Haridsty, along with Gail Dines, Rosalind Barnett, and Marissa Mezzanotte will scrutinize recent messages from the Independent Women’s Forum, a conservative women’s political organization organizing on college campuses. “The Independent Women’s Forum is promoting an analysis of the role of women in society that, though inaccurate, is seductively appealing to women who yearn for a world in which gender makes no difference,” according to Hardisty.

On September 25, CPPAX, a local progressive political organization, will highlight Political Research Associates on its cable access television show “Let’s Talk About It” from 9pm – 9:30pm on the Boston Neighborhood Network. Hardisty and Researcher/Editor Nikhil Aziz will appear as guests on the show.

“Through our appearance at these events and other events, “ comments Hardisty, “we continue in our ongoing role in providing reliable political information for the general public.”
