Heres A Twist: Mobile Games Being Converted Into Board Games!
B.E. Game Corp., Creators Of Act One, Bring PocketBoxOffice Content To Store Shelves
Reversing a trend where wireless content providers look offline for brand names to re-create in the mobile marketplace, brick and mortar gaming company B.E. Game Corp. today announced the licensing of nine different mobile entertainment content properties from Airborne Entertainment's PocketBoxOffice - The World's First Mobile Entertainment Network. The games, which are presently being offered on nearly every wireless carrier in North America through PocketBoxOffice's WeGot Games channel, will be part of B.E. Game Corp.'s latest retail board game series, entitled Game Shelf Games.
B.E. Game Corp. is the company responsible for Act One -- the North American hit board game where players act out scenes from movies and TV shows -- and is eagerly putting the finishing touches on Game Shelf Games, a new concept that will feature PocketBoxOffice hits like Half Truths, This Or That, Odd One Out and many others. This agreement also allows B.E. Game Corp. to create other board games and CD Roms based on other original content created by Airborne Entertainment.
Games are all about content," says B.E. Game Corp. Co-Founder Daniel Wilchesky. Regardless of platform, a great game can always work on a variety of venues. We loved the PocketBoxOffice games because they fit in perfectly with our vision for this revolutionary concept called Game Shelf Games. These games are all simple to play and offer exceptional entertainment value."
We have always placed ourselves as an entertainment company first," says Airborne Entertainment CEO Garner Bornstein. With their ingenious Act One, B.E. Game Corp. has proven that they have the knowledge and expertise to get the masses excited about playing games. Were honoured that they share those emotions with what we have accomplished in the wireless and mobile space."
Airborne Entertainment President Andy Nulman continues: Working with other types of entertainment developers like B.E. Game Corp. is just the beginning for us. As we develop and aggregate new forms of mobile entertainment, well be doing many more such cross-media deals."
PocketBoxOffice delivers short bursts of innovative, original content specifically designed for wireless devices and their users. Launching with the cheeky slogan "Is that PocketBoxOffice or are you just happy to see me?" the premium service unifies all of Airborne's popular offerings with an exiting range of star-brand entertainment. PocketBoxOffice users have access to the addictive WeGot Games channel, the popular mobile comedy of TheFunniest as well as CraniumCrank, Dear Abby, The Last Word in Astrology, News of the Weird, a movie channel, cheeky TV Guy reviews and much more to come.
