Ratner & Prestia Continues Its Growth Plan
Valley Forge, Pa., January 2001 – Ratner & Prestia, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the Delaware Valley, announced today the expansion of its litigation practice with the addition of W. Mark Mullineaux. Mullineaux, formerly a partner with Duane Morris & Heckscher, joined the Valley Forge office as a shareholder effective January 2, 2001. Mullineaux, who has a history of obtaining multi-million dollar verdicts in favor of his clients, will concentrate his practice in intellectual property litigation.

In addition to Mullineaux, other new additions to the firm include associate attorneys, Jasper Caro and Stanley Protigal, and Thomas M. Sossong, Ph.D., a Scientific Advisor in biotechnology. All will be resident in the Valley Forge office. This brings the members of Ratner & Prestias professional team to 35. Prior to entering private practice, Caro was an electronic engineer with the Department of the Navy and was a Patent Advisor with the Office of Naval Research. His practice will concentrate in electronics. He received his L.L.M. from Temple University and his J.D. from Widener University.
Formerly with the Silicon Valley law firm of Sabath & Truong, Protigal specializes in computer software and hardware, electronics, semiconductor processes, communication protocols, digital and analog circuitry, and radio frequency circuits. Protigals practice at Ratner & Prestia will focus on electronics.
Prior to joining Ratner & Prestia as a Scientific Advisor, Thomas M. Sossong, Ph.D. was employed by SmithKline Beecham. Sossong received his doctorate from Temple University School of Medicine. His experience includes biochemistry, biophysics, enzymology, protein chemistry and molecular biology. He is one of six Ratner & Prestia professionals with technical doctorate degrees.
