Mesmer Inc. Launches Distance Learning Site: 3D animation classes deployed across web

Seattle—January 3rd, 2001—Mesmer, Inc. (http://www.mesmer.com) announced today that it has completed work on a revolutionary new distance learning system now available to Internet users all around the world.

Mesmer designed a distance learning program to overcome the limitations of the internet as a learning delivery platform by building a database driven online class that runs at each individuals pace. This automated teacher, named "Francis" feeds one topic at a time to each student, then tests their knowledge with quizzes and assignments before moving on to the next topic. A professional (human) instructor from Mesmer is also assigned to each class to answer questions, providing assistance and leadership to the class.
Distance Learning students can also download digital video files, participate in group email communities, and share work with Francis, the other students and the human instructor/moderator.
