STAMFORD, Conn., January 3, 2001 – Gartner Group, Inc. (NYSE: IT and ITB) announced today that prominent industry CIOs have accepted invitations to speak at the upcoming Midsize Enterprise Summit. Hugh Moore, Vice President of Information Technologies and CIO of Siemens ICN, will deliver the Keynote Address to an audience of Senior IT Executives at the West Coast venue on January 28-30, 2001, in San Francisco. W. Garrett Grainger, Jr., Senior Vice President and CIO of Dixon Ticonderoga Company will address the East Coast audience, February 21-23, 2001, in Tampa Bay.

Hugh J. Moore began his career with Siemens Information and Communication Networks, Inc. in 1975 in Customer Services. In 1993, after a series of promotions, Moore became the Vice President and CIO for Siemens ICN (USA), eventually being appointed to chairman of the North American Council of CIOs for the Siemens North American Companies. In addition to his role as CIO, he is also responsible for overseeing e-business activities within ICN USA. Siemens ICN, headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, is a subsidiary of Siemens AG, a global leader in electrical engineering and electronics with a comprehensive product range from mobile phone to power plants, and annual sales revenue of $75 billion.
As Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Dixon Ticonderoga Company, W. Garrett Grainger, Jr., successfully moved the organization from an old line" midsized manufacturer to an electronically enabled company. Mr. Grainger has more than 15 years of IT experience encompassing a broad retail, service, consulting and manufacturing background.
