NASHVILLES QUEEN OF ROCK TO RELEASE SECOND INDEPENDENT CD

January 12, 2001; Nashville, TN - Nashville is most commonly known as the home of country music; its a little known fact that the city is also chock full of fantastic rock bands and twang-free solo artists worthy of national recognition and success. One of them happens to be a woman named Moe Loughran. With her prolific songwriting skills, a vocal style that is as lush and rich as it is powerful and the citys most in-demand live players backing her up onstage, she has managed to hold Nashvilles pop/rock scene in the palm of her hand for several years. Indeed…she owns the place.

Now Moe is ready to release her second independent CD entitled "The Tulip Tree" on January 15th, 2001 and further shake the citys home-grown foundations. Produced by Nashvilles own Josh Harris and Michael Davey, this eleven track album consists of super-adrenalizing guitar-driven power-pop with a few sweet moments of solace thrown in for good measure. Moe has an uncanny ability to pack one record with hit after hit while remaining poignant in lyric - these skills combined with production worthy of any major record label and her golden voice as the cherry on top will leave the listener driven to spin "The Tulip Tree" again and again and again.

Moe will be appearing next with her band at 12th & Porter Playroom in Nashville on Thursday, January 18th. She has appeared such places as Woodstock 99 on the Emerging Artists Stage, the Rockrgrrl Conference 2000 in Seattle, The Bitter End in N.Y., the Atlantis Music Conference in Atlanta and has plans to test the waters of L.A. sometime this spring. She has garnered interest from several record labels with her previous release "Damn Depressing Love Songs" and has several song cuts on movie soundtacks, compilation albums and independent label artist albums.
