University of Miami Law Students Publicly Poke Fun at Lawyers, Law Professors and the Second-Oldest Profession.

CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA - Equity Playhouse, a forty-year tradition at the University of Miami School of Law, announces the launch of its first-ever web site. Honoring the tradition of comedy and mockery of the legal profession, the production is now "breaking a leg" in cyberspace by offering tickets for sale on the Internet, also for the first time ever.We are very pleased to have a top-notch Designer, Putergirl.com, sponsor our production for the second year in a row." said Executive Producer, Dianne Bonfiglio. Equity Playhouse shows generally take a movie or a play and twist the storylines. For instance, in 1994's "Back to the Future Interests," a law student found a secret Lexis password that sent him Back to the Fifties.This year's "40th Anniversary" production is titled "Equity Theater Channel" and features student actors, dancers, singers and even a band! The live performance is on Saturday, March 3, 2000 at Actors Playhouse/Miracle Theater on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. "Equity Playhouse is an ensemble production and the success of the show lies in each actors dedication to the show and each other." said Executive Director, Jamie Segal. Open to all law students, the program provides an outlet for the unrelenting stress of Law School, and gives alumni an excuse to revisit their own law school experience, with laughter!
