FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Project PDA Soft Announces Launch of Literary Agency for Palm and Pocket
PC Software Developers
Issues Open Call for Software Submissions at:
http://www.projectpdasoft.com
LAS VEGAS, Nevada. January 22, 2001 - Project PDA Soft, LLC, today
announced the grand opening of ProjectPDASoft.com, a support web site
for their new literary agency. Project PDA Soft is a literary agency
seeking quality software for PDA handhelds and Pocket PCs. They assist
programmers, authors and developers of Palm OS and Pocket PC software by
negotiating contracts with software publishers and international
distributors.
Project PDA Soft is issuing an open call for programmers to submit their
Palm OS and Pocket PC software for review at Project PDA Soft's web
site, www.projectpdasoft.com. Says Herb Kraft, manager of Project PDA
Soft, "We are looking for retail software products. We intend to place
hundreds of thousands of retail pieces."
Herb Kraft isn't just dreaming about these numbers. He has already sold
more than seven million copies of Windows software that he has
personally authored. He is also Vice President of Publishing at Cosmi
Software, which is currently ranked in the top 10 software publishers in
the world, according to PCData industry reports. PCData recently ranked
Cosmi as number 4 in the world, just under Microsoft, in the category of
productivity software.
Technology has improved handhelds, so that they are useful and powerful.
Crisp color display screens on the Palm IIIc, as well as on the Pocket
PC, mean that more computer owners are choosing handhelds as auxiliary
computers, some even forgoing more expensive laptops for PDAs. As the
PDA handheld market explodes, Cosmi, and many other software publishers,
are expanding from Windows software into Palm and Pocket PC software.
Project PDA Soft is currently negotiating contracts to provide Palm
software and Pocket PC software storefronts for millions of brand new
computers, and OEM, and other bundling deals. In addition, Kraft says
Cosmi will publish at least six Palm and Pocket PC collections on CD-rom
in the next year. Cosmi software is sold in Best Buy, Office Max, Office
Depot, CompUSA, Target, and other retail computer stores. Cosmi also has
online ordering of some of their titles at Amazon.com and
DigitalRiver.com.
Project PDA Soft offers a nonexclusive royalty-paying contract to
software authors and developers, with absolutely no up front fees. A
small percentage on non-Cosmi completed sales is the agency's only
commission. (Royalties from sales thru Cosmi are 0% commission for
Project PDA Soft, which gives authors a bigger share of the profits.)
Project PDA Soft needs software titles for handheld computers. And they
need them immediately! Shareware authors are welcome to submit
full-version titles for consideration, and are equally considered for
publication.
Project PDA Soft is a new literary agency for a new marketplace.
