IP STRATEGY ANNOUNCES FLASH PRODUCT DEMOS.COM AS NEW INTERACTIVE DIVISION

IP STRATEGY ANNOUNCES FLASH PRODUCT DEMOS.COM AS NEW INTERACTIVE DIVISION SAN DIEGO, CALIF - In an effort to help clients create compelling interactive content for their Web site, IP Strategy announced the launch of FlashProductDemos.com, a new interactive division that focuses on online applications developed specifically in Flash such as product demonstrations and animated Web site introductions.

"A significant number of companies are trying to take their existing Web sites to the next level. Through the use of Macromedia Flash technology we can help companies create an interactive and emotional online experience which helps build brand equity and ultimately results in greater site stickiness and higher revenues. We developed FlashProductDemos.com as a cost-effective answer for companies to find a new connection with their customers without starting from scratch," said Dave Heistein, president of IPS.

The key benefit of Flash is that viewers feel "virtually there" and as a result are more likely to be drawn into acting on the message. The multi-faceted uses of Flash for such tools as product demonstrations, training guides, or annual reports, and its cross-venue use as a plasma screen, CD Business card, or simply downloaded from a web site, supports FlashProductDemos.com's belief that Flash technology appears to have staked a claim as a standard Internet technology and fills a gap between the viewers' needs and sites' capabilities that has existed for a number of years.

"In the past there has been pessimism surrounding the use of Flash on the Internet, mainly stemming from two arguments. One, not everyone can view Flash, and two, that Flash is a 'bell and whistle" on the Internet where standard html suffices," said Ben Fisher Chief Strategist for IPS and Product Manager for FlashProductDemos.com.

Recent research regarding Flash combats these myths. According to NPD Online, 96.4% of Web surfers can see Flash on web pages, banner click-thru rates are 340% greater with rich media than the standard .gif and brand awareness increases by 31%.

"An important factor to take into consideration when developing any Flash Media product is to follow the rules of design usability. Most of the rich media that you see today is counter-intuitive. However, clients of IPS benefit from the experience of a interactive company that employs usability testing in all its endeavors," said Fisher.

IPS is a leading strategic interactive agency specializing in new media and integrated marketing solutions. Since it's founding in 1999, IPS has focused on enabling emerging and established companies to build valuable relationships with their target audiences. IPS serves a broad client base in a variety of industries. Current clients include Travel Planet, SeraCare, INET Legal Network and Software Partners. The company is headquartered in San Diego, CA.
