World Love Center: Helping America Heal
Letter sent to President Bush launching campaign to build monument at WTC resembling candle as dominant element of NYC skyline. Candle serves as symbol of human spirit, national unity. Web site has illustrations, photos of what this would look like. http://www.WorldLoveCenter.com
Dear President Bush,
I know this has been a challenging time for you. Everyone in our human
family has been touched by the recent events in New York and Washington,
D.C.
People everywhere have joined hands and extended their hearts to their
friends and neighbors, whether they live next door, across town or across
the ocean.
We have a deep understanding that the events themselves have served as a
wake up call, a reminder of how interconnected we are. What affects a few
affects us all. Just like a death in the family reminds the relatives to
settle their differences while there is still time, these events remind
everyone in the family of nations how close we are and really how
interdependent we all are.
Our great brother who walked among us 2000 years ago said "when you do unto
the least of these, you do unto me."
His words remind us that all of humanity is only as rich as the poorest
among us. We are only as healthy as our most sickly. We are only as strong
as our weakest. We are as loving as our most hate-filled, and we are as
happy as the saddest of our fellow global citizens.
Rather than being stuck in the events themselves, and allow anger, sadness
and fear to consume us, let us open our eyes and our hearts and look around
us, and feel the incredible outpouring of love.
We as the family of nations are coming together.
We are moving beyond the labels that have previously divided us.
We are opening our arms to each other, and sharing a hug.
We are showing respect and warmth to everyone.
This is the beginning of us welcoming each other as friend and family.
As President of this great nation, Mr. Bush, I commend you of the way you
have cautiously and with great care handled this national crisis. You have
earned the respect and support of me and almost everyone.
If you want the outpouring of love within the country and beyond its shores
to continue and grow stronger, please consider supporting our campaign to
build the World Love Center.
The developer whose corporation holds the rights to the World Trade Center
property has said he would like to build four towers about half as large as
the two towers were.
We support those plans and also ask that a monument as large as each tower
be built in the center of the four smaller towers, to serve as a reminder of
humanity coming together and choosing a course of peace and strength,
through unity.
This World Love Center, according to my vision, could dominate the New York
City skyline, as the World Trade Center towers once did. I envision it
looking like a candle, symbolizing our unity and the strength of the human
spirit, which has turned to love, in response to a non-loving attack on our
very souls. (The Web site, http://www.worldlovecenter.com, has a site
drawing and a photo showing what the WLC could look like on the NY skyline.)
(It also asks people to share their inspirational stories to help others
also embrace love and unity and move beyond their pain. That is the ultimate
purpose of us creating the World Love Center.)
With your support for this most significant monument/memorial, the World
Love Center will become a lasting symbol of the human spirit, and tribute to
those who gave their lives.
The human spirit is unstoppable.
Together, through your leadership, we have the chance to show the world how
strongly we value our freedom and our resolve to continue coming together as
one people.
If it feels right in your heart, please do help us build the World Love
Center.
I love and bless you,
Dan Klatt,
AKA "Unconditional Love Guy"
P.S. I'm officially calling this campaign "World Love Center: Helping
America Heal." To me that title says it all. Please whole-heartedly support
this initiative. Thank you.
