Peritek Corporation Acquires Assets of Raster Graphics, Inc.

Peritek Corporation of Oakland, California has acquired the assets of Raster Graphics, Incorporated, of Redmond, Oregon. The acquisition was finalized this week.

Founded 20 years ago in Tumalo, Oregon, Raster Graphics has focused on embedded applications, initially building display boards for Multibus computers. RGI currently manufactures 3U and 6U VMEbus graphics boards and PMC modules incorporating both video capture and display. Raster Graphics' products are used in medical, industrial and military systems.

The high quality products and support that Raster Graphics' customers have come to expect will continue unchanged. RGI's office in Oregon will remain open as Peritek-Redmond, and the Raster Graphics web site (www.rastergraphics.com) continues to provide product and support information. The RGI family of products will be incorporated into Peritek's already broad product line.

Peritek, incorporated in 1978, is a privately held company and a leading manufacturer of high performance display controllers and bus adapter products. In 2000, Peritek acquired Megatek Graphics, providing access to the robust Sun Solaris marketplace. Peritek provides graphics supports for the widest variety of platforms in the industry, including VME, CompactPCI and PCI-based computers using Windows NT, VxWorks, Linux, and Solaris operating systems.

Peritek's customers include OEMs in flight simulation, process control, medical imaging, fire control, automated testing equipment, command & control, aerospace, and video editing. R & D facilities worldwide use Peritek display controllers for such applications as terrain mapping, star field display, process control, satellite positioning, and strip chart displays.
