Boston, MA The Original Tremont Tearoom is sponsoring a Samhain Circle on the Boston Common on October 31st 2001 at 8:00 p.m. Samhain (pronounced Sow-en), in modern times better known as Halloween, is the Witches New Year and is celebrated by people who practice the ancient religion and science of Wicca. Witches from the Boston area will gather on the Common to celebrate the New Year as well as honor past ancestors. The circle, as a religious celebration, is significant because it represents the ever-changing seasons and the cycle of life, death and rebirth. Samhain is the time that the veil between this world and the spirit world is the thinnest. The ritual is open and free to the general public.

The Tremont Tearooms Halloween events include a Halloween Gala on Saturday, October 27th beginning at 6p.m. The admission ticket includes a reading, appetizers, and refreshments. The evening will be capped off with a Séance at 11:00p.m.

The Tremont Tearoom is Bostons oldest psychic salon established in 1936 with its emphasis being on healing, divination, Reiki, past life regression and classes aimed at training individuals to develop their psychic and intuitive senses.
