Vista, CA -- October 26, 2001 -- Asund, LLC, author of Californias premier web service for individual health insurance quotes and online applications, HealthInsureMe, today announces version 3.0 of its HealthInsureMe online quote / benefit engine and applications is now available!
The HealthInsureMe quote and benefit engine is unsurpassed in the industry for accuracy and completeness. The applications are much more than a blank PDF of the carrier application form for download by the consumer who may or may not decide to complete the application by hand. HealthInsureMe is a full-featured database service that captures all the applicant and health history information and places it on the carrier's form electronically. The end product is a completed application ready to sign and send to the carrier. HealthInsureMe online live applications improve efficiency and reduce costs by using the Internet to process consumer applications.
Overall improvements include screens that adjust well when the window is resized for those who display our product in frames and to better accommodate different monitor sizes. Special attention has been given to table formatting so when printed they look great on paper. Consolidation of data improves the overall experience of applying for health insurance online. Improved navigation throughout and a "Live Help" link is now available in the footer of all pages so applicants have access to our quality technical support 24/7.
The Quote/Benefit Engine starts with a data entry screen that is simple and pleasing and leads to a more comprehensive quote table, now called "Plan Choices at a Glance." The quote table data is rearranged with overall improved table formatting and the ability to refine the plan choices shown by the click of text links in the header. The table header graphics sport rollovers that allow you to rearrange the sort order of displayed plans by Premium, Carrier, Copay, or Deductible on the fly. Reformatted benefit details are easier to read and understand and displayed in a common format. The ability to move to the next or previous plan benefit detail without going back to the "Plan Choices at a Glance" table are navigation options through new links at the top of the benefit detail page. A link is also provided to go back to the Plan Choice table negating multiple browser "back" button clicks while reviewing benefits. Footnotes are now included at the bottom of each benefit page and throughout the benefit table all footnotes are links that "jump" to the page bottom by clicking the note. The browser "back" button returns you to your place from the page bottom.
"The quote / benefit engine is greatly enhanced and the entire online application method is changed in this version, 3.0, of the HealthInsureMe service," says Christine Campbell, partner and head of product development. "Instead of relying on html we now control the process through our database which makes the overall system dynamic and more flexible. This gives us the ability to keep up with the more frequent changes we are now seeing as a trend with carriers and allows us to give important reporting to subscribers concerning site click throughs." When a plan "Apply" button is clicked either from the Plan Choice or Benefit table a stop over page appears offering 3 ways for the consumer to apply (in reverse order).
a. By receiving an application form and information packet via US mail by completing the complimentary form mail which sends a real time E-mail of the prospect contact information to the subscriber (health insurance agent) for follow up in the traditional manner outside our service.
b. By downloading a PDF (Adobe Acrobat "Portable Document Format") file that includes an instructional cover page with and the agent's license number, company and contact information on the correct page of each carrier's application form. The downloads are maintained as a part of the service.
c. By Applying Online through the HealthInsureMe service.
Once the "Apply Online" option is selected the applicant is lead in succession through a comprehensive set of five online forms that comprise all of the information that each carrier has on their formal published application form. The applications now have required fields that are marked in red and in parenthesis. If a required field is left blank the form displays a red check mark next to each required field as a marker when the submit button is clicked.
All forms are in a new table format that is straightforward. The family information is captured and automatically entered into the next form so that redundant data need not be typed more than once. Dramatic improvements are evident in the health history questionnaire. The questions are database fed and the form links to the health detail screen where the questions you answered "Yes" to are restated in red for emphasis. Once the save and continue button is clicked the detail screen will continue to the next yes answered question in succession until all details are complete. After all yes questions are answered the final form, Doctor Visits and Prescription Medications, is then presented. Subscribers are notified by E-mail that a completed application is ready for pick-up from the HealthInsureMe server. The PDF files are secured through Adobe Acrobat with settings that only allow printing.
