During the year 2001, Panda Software, the leading European antivirus software developer, has continued with its international expansion process. In the last few months, the European multinational has opened offices in 11 new countries: Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Malaysia, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Slovenia, Malta and Uruguay. As a result, Panda Software will reinforce its presence in the expanding East European and Latin American markets.

With these new delegations, the multinational antivirus company is now present in a total of 45 countries worldwide. This rapid growth and expansion process has allowed Panda Software to increase its turnover by 81% during the third quarter of this year, compared to the same period last year.

The Europes 500" award, presented by GrowthPlus, the organization that draws up this ranking, recognizes Panda Softwares good work. The data highlighted by Growth Plus includes the significant increase in the number of employees (between 1995 and September 2000, the number of staff grew by 2542%) and sales (which increased by 1573% in the same period). The trend shown by the leading antivirus software developer is set to continue growing: at present the company staff consists of 700 employees-- 400 of whom are in Spain--, 53 % of executive positions are held by women, and the average age is 27.

The success of this worldwide expansion process is largely due to Panda Softwares commitment to adapting its products to different markets.
