peerPros' Tech Writing Workshop Inventory Continues to Grow With Medical Writing Workshop

peerPros' tech writing workshops inventory continues to grow with the addition of "So You Want To Be A Medical Writer?"

Technical writers provides clear communication of a topic possessing a complex or technical nature utilizing interpretive language along with a variety of media items. The focus of this workshop is to communicate the role and requirements of the technical writer which provides services to the medical industry, both to its own industry and others it touches.

Medical writing is a field that covers a wide range of areas in medicine, pharmaceuticals, and the biotech industry. Opportunities for medical writing exist at the professional research level, the consumer education level, newspapers, magazines, and everything in between.

Many medical writers have either a degree in English or in a life science, but this is a generalization and exceptions abound. Increasingly, M.D.'s and Ph.D.'s are opting for writing. The main requirements are that you like to write and that you are interested in medicine.

This six week workshop addresses medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology, statistics, computer skills, honing your writing skills, and building your resources.
