NEF Offers Free Computer and IT Training
2,000 unemployed and underemployed workers are eligible

Alexandria, VA

In these difficult times, to alleviate the economic downturn,the non-profit National Education Foundation CyberLearning, with the support of Microsoft, is offering 2,000 unemployed and underemployed workers a full tuition scholarship of $1,000 to take any or all of the 300+ Internet-based online computing and IT courses.

2,000 scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to applicants with internet access and at least a high school diploma. For a nominal registration fee of $25, the only cost, interested applicants can sign up by visiting www.cyberlearning.org and clicking on 2,000 Digital Divide IT scholarships."

The high-quality, user-friendly courses, rated as the Best of the Web" by FORBES Magazine, are either self-study or instructor-led. University of California studies have shown that the students who take these courses tend to retain 15% more than the classroom students.

The 300+ courses cover all levels and almost all personal computing topics including Microsoft office, operating systems, web design, web applications and Lotus. The students also receive
free 24x7 access to an online library of 2,000 books and online Brainbench certification tests.
