Espoo, Finland - November 12, 2001 - NetSeal Technologies -- a provider of next generation software for IP-mobility solutions to carriers, corporations and equipment manufacturers -- today announced the strengthening of its executive team through the appointment of Mr. Jorma Heinonen as its Chief Executive Officer.
          
Mr. Heinonen succeeds the founder Mr. Panu Pietikäinen, who has been appointed Chief Technology Officer, a new position at NetSeal.
          
Mr. Heinonen was a senior executive vice president with Comptel Corporation (HEX:CTL1V), Finland, where he headed the company's Mediation Device Solutions (MDS) business. He was in charge of companys internationalization strategy and directed the companys successful strategic partner co-operation program. Prior to Comptel, Mr. Heinonen held key executive positions in information technology and telecommunications spanning more than two decades at Digital Equipment Corp. and other major technology companies.
