Genesis Adoptions hosts a series of International Adoption Workshops featuring adoption in Russia and Kazakhstan.
Genesis Adoptions (Alpharetta GA) is hosting a series of International Adoption Workshops which will highlight the many issues surrounding adoption in Russia and Kazakstan. Founded by AMREX, an international adoption processing center with over 10 years experience in the field, Genesis offers adoptive parents a more stable and reliable adoption process.
Genesis Adoptions, a non-profit licensed child-placing agency, will be hosting a series of International Adoption Workshops at their offices, in Alpharetta, Georgia from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, December 8th, January 12th, and January 26th. The workshops are free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required.
The workshops will feature information on the international adoption process for both married couples and singles, the adoption process, dossier preparation, medical issues, and adjustment issues of adopted children.
Genesis' Asstant Executive Director, Susan Secor, is an adoptive parent herself and has experienced much of what her clients are going through. Susan states, "Following our adoptions, I felt called to help other families through the process. I can still remember the faces of the children we left behind and that is what keeps me motivated. This is the most rewarding work I could imagine. I am truly blessed."
Dani Funk, Genesis' Adoption Coordinator states, "We hope to raise awareness through the workshops that international adoption is a wonderful way to create a family. Unlike domestic adoption, you know there is a child at the end of the journey. Its only a matter of when."
