What is textPuppet?
textPuppet is used to produce synthetic speech and automatic lipsynced 3d character animation in conjunction with Curious Labs Poser(r) software. It is also a highly configurable, high quality, standalone text-to-speech synthesizer, and is available in eight languages. It currently works with Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.

textPuppet has a simple, production oriented user interface which takes text as input and produces complete scripts and audio files used for
rendering high-quality lip-synchronized character animations in Curious Lab's Poser(r). It includes a unique, configurable automatic animation script generator that produces realistic blinking, facial expressions, and head and upper-body movements. Convincing lipsynced 3d character animations which would otherwise require much training and experience can be produced in minutes instead of days!

textPuppet is also a highly configurable, high quality, standalone text-to-speech synthesizer. It automatically interprets text for pronunciation and emphasis, and also allows for further manual fine tuning of word emphasis and pronunciation through simple mark up.

Languages    
textPuppet comes with the U.S. English module. Additional modules are available in U.K. English, French, Canadian French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish at this time. More language modules will be released in the future.
