Swets Blackwell launches SwetsWise
Gearing up for the ‘greatest online show on earth
Swets Blackwell, one of the worlds largest providers of subscription and information management solutions, is proud to announce the launch of SwetsWise, their new web-based subscription service.
SwetsWise will provide corporate users and information specialists with an exceptional online order and subscription management tool, together with back-end support via an experienced customer service network. The service became available in early July, following its successful preview at the 2001 Special Library Association Conference in San Antonio, Texas in June.
SwetsWise will be on show later this year at Swets Blackwells stand number 150 when more than 350 companies at the very cutting edge of information technology will gather in the Olympia exhibition centre in London in what has become over the last quarter of a century the largest single show of its kind in the world.
The exhibition and conference, Online Information 2001, is once again being staged by Oxford-based Learned Information.
The exhibitors will be from around the world as well as there being many British representatives. Countries represented will include the Netherlands, Finland, Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and Ireland.
Key speakers from Britain and further afield also will be sharing the latest news and views at scheduled conference sessions.
SwetsWise is the culmination of intensive research, testing and development efforts carried out with Swets Blackwells technology partner IBM, and represents their fourth generation of information and subscription management.
The service gives clients access to Swets Blackwells online catalogue, either directly via the internet or through their existing e-procurement systems (for example, Ariba, SAP, Commerce One). SwetsWise provides full subscription management functionalities through such features as online ordering, renewing, cancelling and claiming, as well as order approval functions – features not available when e-procurement systems are used on their own.
