Toronto based international television production company to launch.

TORONTO, Canada - Matrix Produxions, an international media production company focusing on content creation and development for broadcast television including new media convergence is primed to launch in Toronto.

Matrix Produxions will produce documentary, docu-tainment and news/current affairs programming for local, national, international broadcast, and distribution. The company will also focus on iTV content creation and development, and provide consulting services for iTV and t-Commerce concepts and strategies.

Jill A. Mackie, Executive Producer of Matrix Produxions conveyed, "The Company will primarily focus on creating and developing documentary,
docu-tainment and news/current affairs programming for traditional broadcast television; locally, nationally and internationally. We will also be creating and developing content for interactive television (iTV), Internet and wireless applications in collaboration with several Canadian based new media convergence companies. New media convergence is still behind the plate so to speak in Canada and the U.S. in comparison to Europe and Asia. Canada possesses many creative and talented individuals who have the expertise to create and develop unique and pioneering iTV content at the highest level. It is time to bring the new media convergence revolution to the forefront in Canada."

Matrix Produxions is currently in negotiations with a Los Angeles, CA based film company to form a synergy that will endorse a progressive and successive direct LA / Toronto co-production partnership link.

"Establishing industry partnerships in Canada, the U.S. and abroad is not a side-bar option anymore, it is a pre-requisite in today's business market. The synergies we are presently establishing will definitely contribute to the progression and succession of Matrix Produxions and all our partners globally" said Mackie.

Matrix Produxions' staff will be hired primarily on a per project contract basis. States Mackie, "We are always seeking unique content ideas pertaining to television programming development, specifically, iTV content. Today's college and university graduates are exceptionally creative and talented individuals; visionaries in their own right. Yet, so often these individuals do not have access to funding and/or the immediate experience to move their idea to the next level. As such, we are creating a 'Think Tank' program in which we meet with these talented individuals and listen to their pitch. Should their programming idea(s) possess local, national and/or international feasibility, Matrix Produxions will then collaborate with said individuals to move their ideas forward."
