Pioneering Chartered Surveyors Cyril Leonard are creating a new impetus within the rating and associated professional work sector through a new joint venture with leading commerce management and support services provider, Interserve FM.

The newly created Cyril Leonard Professional Services have already completed a major real estate tax review for Polo Ralph Lauren, and recently was awarded their first FM contract for Virgin Radio's headquarters in London.

Cyril Leonard Partner Douglas Blausten adds: "Since its formation, we have undertaken condition surveys on over 1.5m sq ft of major industrial facilities in the UK, and we have been commissioned on a pilot strategic study for one of the major railway sector maintenance groups, which is very exciting."

Following the formation of the Cyril Leonard Professional Services with Interserve, both parties have also been advising Somerset House Trust on the value of their property holdings.

"This, along with the utilisation of surplus space and landlord and tenant negotiations with third party occupiers, is an extremely interesting project for the new group," says Blausten.

With a pedigree that goes back to the early 1930s, Cyril Leonard prides itself on its forward looking approach to its business dealings.
