Klein discussed many aspects of art collecting and purchasing at Microsoft Corporation. We are not trying to just decorate the walls," Klein said. We really are trying to find things that have some meaning, and provoke your mind. Why is this art? Why is this here? What is the artist saying or experiencing that I can learn about?"
Klein also discussed Microsofts interest in works on paper; its recent purchases of Latin American art, the companys art education program and Microsofts expansion from a focus on art of the Pacific Northwest to a truly global approach to collecting art.
