Nick is a native Angelino whose job entails daily travel throughout all of
Los Angeles and Southern California. One day, he installed a Live Cam on
the dashboard of his van and started shooting images.
A year later, his Web site was born, and viewers world-wide can't seem to
get enough of it.
LAAVENUE.COM is fast becoming one of the most popular Web sites among
Internet viewers. And with good reason. "This Web Site is FUN!," wrote in
one viewer. And indeed, it is. Unlike most travel sites, this one offers a
unique and exciting view of Los Angeles and beyond. Part of the attraction
is your tour guide Nick's "LA Live Cam," with daily live glimpses of the
City of Angels -- a fascinating daily virtual tour of a city which
fascinates millions. Another highlight is the multitude of offerings in
this site, from local information to entertainment, from "What's Hot," to
around-the-town events -- even a voltage guide for foreign visitors. It's
a friendly site, which reflects Nick, the developer of laavenue.
Capturing daily Live Cam images of LA is only one distinctive part of
laavenue. Nick also offers an extensive archive of photos from past
sojourns, tells you about local beaches, where to find theaters -- and of
course, gives information about local freeways. That's another thing
viewers like -- if Nick is in traffic, they're at a computer screen
somewhere else in the world. Nick really shows you LA -- and he gives you
an enjoyable ride.
laavenue gives you local information (yes, even the temperature is updated),
sports teams,
how to find the zoo, travel tips -- even a monthly giveaway drawing (want a
new mouse or even
a Cam to start your own site?). laavenue has an online e-store and a cool
line of clothing. And, soon to come, it will launch pages on the history of
LA, a noir tour, restaurant reviews and a list of famous (and not-so-famous)
movie locations.
Other future coverage will include Live Cam at events like parades, theme
parks and beaches. Nick will take viewer requests to cover specific sites,
streets or buildings in Los Angeles. You'll also be able to post your LA
travel questions and have them answered.
He covers it all, from Boyle Heights to Beverly Hills, from Chinatown to
Cucamonga.
