zamano, the leading innovator of mobile internet technologies today announced the launch of its Community Platform in EuropeÂs first operational 3G network for the Isle of Man, launched by Manx Telecom, a mmO2 subsidiary.
The network, built by mmO2 (formally BT Wireless) and Manx Telecom went live on the 4th of December and initially provides a focused group of commercial, government and community representatives with voice, internet and entertainment services.
zamano has provided its Location Aware Community Platform, optimised for the 3G project and one of the top 5 applications available on the network. Residents can take part in chat and polls, play interactive games, send picture messages, view event listings for the Island and receive information on deals directly to their phone and all relevant to a specific location. The platform also has advanced wireless advertising capabilities whereby users have the option to receive wireless adverts.
zamano is also providing content from its M-Ent suite of mobile entertainment products, in the form of Smart Ass, an interactive quiz game, which has been specifically tailored for 3G.
