At the point of immersion the B.U.G. uses a combination of precision sensing hardware and sophisticated software to calculate and compensate for complex and demanding dive profiles. Critical information such as depth, time, nitrogen levels and water temperature is displayed every second; by comparison, the best competing watch is updated only every 20 seconds.

The screen was specially designed to be read underwater and information is displayed in a large format to account for conditions of poor visibility. Titanium was chosen for the casing for its strength and resistance to corrosion.
