Outsourced HR Veteran to Provide Strategic Sales and Alliance Building Leadership

SALEM, N.H., JANUARY 29, 2000-Benchmark HR Solutions Inc., an outsourced human resources provider for start-up and emerging technology companies, today announced that it has hired Joe Melanson as vice president of Business Development, providing crucial strategic sales and alliance building leadership. Headquartered in Salem, N.H., Benchmark HR has regional offices in Washington D.C.; Raleigh/Durham, N.C.; Atlanta, Ga.; and Jersey City, N.J.

In his role, Melanson will spearhead the company's "life-cycle" sales initiatives across all of its markets and verticals, outsourced services packaging and alliance partnerships. What's more, he'll be a central figure in all corporate branding and positioning initiatives. Melanson brings to Benchmark HR nearly 15 years of experience in the outsourced HR and staffing industries.

Prior to his role with Benchmark HR's Business Development group, Melanson founded Outsourcing Strategies, a consultancy that helped companies launch new outsourcing businesses. For the 12 years before that, he held senior vice president positions for several staffing and outsourcing companies. Melanson has his bachelor's degree in business administration with concentrations in marketing and international business from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass., where he currently resides.
