Quatech Application Services Answer Customer Demand for Customized Systems
In response to increased customer demand for customized hardware and software solutions, Quatech is now offering a suite of application development services. Building on the company's longstanding tradition of support throughout the implementation process, the new services will provide customized product designs, software application development, system integration, on-site system installation, and personalized training.
Quatech's new suite of services is built around their extensive data communication, data acquisition, and signal conditioning product lines, and is designed to provide customers with exactly the amount of assistance they need to implement their applications. Quatech application engineers offer programming expertise in Windows and OS/2 operating system environments. Within these environments Quatech specializes in developing applications for DASYLab and LabVIEW, as well as using programming languages such as Visual Basic and Visual C++. By using Quatech engineers who are already familiar with the hardware and how it is implemented under a variety of software systems, the customer eliminates the learning curve that would be required for their own staff to perform the system integration, which reduces both cost and development time. In addition, many potential problems are eliminated when hardware development, system integration, and application programming are implemented by a single company.
Quatech's Application Services Suite consists of five distinct service options, any combination of which can be combined into a single service contract. First, customized versions of standard Quatech products can be produced and developed based on an extensive analysis of a customer's application. They also offer full service integration programs, in which an engineer will assess an application, provide Quatech hardware and software suggestions (including custom products if necessary), create custom software applications, install the entire system at the customer's site, test and troubleshoot the system, and then provide the customer with extensive training on the system. The full service integration program will generally include the initial installation and a short follow-up support period. For extended assistance, Quatech also offers support and maintenance contracts. Available for varying time periods, with on-site or off-site assistance options, these contracts can provide as much or as little additional help as a customer requires. In addition, a consulting option is available for customers who wish to implement their own systems, but want a little extra expert help with hardware and software recommendations during the design and development phase. Finally, specialized training courses covering all Quatech product offerings are provided. Training is available at Quatech's offices, or at a customer's site, and covers both basic and advanced usage.
