FLASHCORE TO PRODUCE TWO WEB DEVELOPER FORUMS AND THE FLASHCORE NEW MEDIA CAREER FESTIVAL AT INTERNET WORLD SPRING 2001

        (LOS ANGELES, CA -- February 6, 2001) FlashCore today announced the production of its first Web Designer and Developer conference within the Internet World trade show, in addition to a new media career fair called FlashCore At Internet World. FlashCore At Internet World will take place during Internet World Spring 2001 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, March 12 -- 16, 2001, as well as in future Internet World shows in Chicago, New York, and elsewhere.

        On Monday, March 12, FlashCore will present the first ever FlashCore New Media Developer Forum, bringing together Web visionaries from Macromedia, RealNetworks, Adobe, among other industry-leading organizations, to make presentations specifically designed for those interested in understanding the dynamics of Flash Web content production, Web design and streaming media. Apple Computers Hans Fischmann, Senior Product Manager for QuickTime, will present Integrating Flash With QuickTime, and James Root, Microsofts Senior Product Manager for the Windows Media Player, will explain design and authoring techniques for the Microsoft Windows Player and Codec. The FlashCore New Media Developer Forum will run from 10:00 am to 9:30 p.m. and will offer 10 sessions including the FlashCore Panel Of Experts, with intermissions during the day.

        The FlashCore Online Entertainment Forum will take place Wednesday, March 14, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with a focus on future technologies and innovations for online entertainment. John Welch, Senior Director & Executive Producer of Games for Shockwave.com, will present The Future of Web Interactivity and Online Gaming. In addition, Chris Takami, President and Creative Director for Flinch Studio, one of the premiere online animation studios in Hollywood, will conduct the Tim Burtons Stainboy case study with the Flinch Studio creative team that produced Stainboy for Tim Burton and Shockwave.com. Finally, Roger Vetruba of Toonshoppe Animation will moderate a panel entitled The Future Of Online Entertainment with panelists such as Kevin Foxe, Producer of the original The Blair Witch Project, John Andrews of Klasky Csupo and Producer of Beavis and Butthead, and Tom Winkler, Founder of Doodie.com and an outspoken creative who has achieved cult status on the Web.

        The FlashCore New Media Career Festival is scheduled for Friday, March16, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The top new media recruiters and hiring companies will have the opportunity to interact with the top talent and creative minds in new media. The FlashCore New Media Career Festival will become a mainstay for companies wanting to fill their positions with the top creative and technical talent.
