Call Home the Heart receives Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Awards nomination
Popular historical fiction author Sorcha MacMurrough has been nominated for the Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Awards for her historical fiction title "Call Home the Heart".
Set in Ireland during the Potato Famine of the 1840s, it features a brave and determined young heroine who tries to save her estate from complete devastation.
The Reviewers' Choice Awards are for the best book and author in their category. Nominations are made by the reviewers for books which they feel stand out in their minds compared with all of the books which they have had to review in 2000, and books which they have remembered long after they have read them.
Ms. MacMurrough, who is expecting her thirteenth book release in April 2001, with Sea of Love, set in England and Ireland during the reign of Henry VIII, said, "I always knew the book was special. The hero just popped into my head and wouldn't leave me alone until I told his story. And when people ask me what the place I live in Ireland is like, I tell them to read this book. I am just so delighted that something I love so much as become so popular. I had hoped for some recognition, but the rave reviews and all the award nominations it has received have really surprised me. "
The winner will be announced at the annual Romantic Times Convention, which this year is taking place at the Hyatt in Orlando from Nov 14th-18th, 2001.
