Renowned trumpeter Rick Brauns CD Kisses in the Rain debuted this week at number one on the Billboard NAC Chart. Kisses in the Rain is Rick ‘s first solo release on Warner Bros. Records. His previous CD, Shake it Up," a collaboration with Warner Bros. artist Boney James remains in the top 10 (where it has remained for forty consecutive weeks). Rick Braun was also a winner of three National Smooth Jazz Awards including a solo award for Best Brass Player and awards for Best Collaboration and Best Song with Boney James for Shake it Up and the track Grazin in the Grass respectively.

Kisses in the Rain is a true testament of Rick Brauns immeasurable talent. He wrote or co-wrote seven tracks on the album. Kisses in the Rain was produced by Paul Brown. Their collaboration has resulted in an album with a variety of sounds, ranging from the romantic, Latin-flavored title track to the urban inspired version of Song For You featuring the vocals of Shai and the passionate melodic Middle of the Night featured in the hit movie Sweet November. Kisses in the Rain features many of todays top musicians including; Harvey Mason and Nathan East of Fourplay, Tony Maiden and Ricky Peterson.

Rick Braun is launching an international tour in support of Kisses in the Rain. He will be performing throughout the United States including dates in New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC and many more to be added. …
