Orange County Gift Show to Expand in October
Anaheim, California (PRWEB) March 16, 2001 --The Orange County Gift Show will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2001 at California State University in Fullerton.
This premier trade show, in its second year and sponsored by the Gift Basket Professionals Network (GBPN), is open to gift basket designers and gift retailers and will feature 80 exhibitors, hourly seminars, a design competition and mentoring program.
"Last years show was extremely successful for buyers and exhibitors, so we decided to
triple the show space and double the number of exhibitors," said Flora M. Brown, GBPN
chairperson.
The show will feature a new gift basket design competition for retailers who wish to compete for cash prizes. Hourly product drawings will also be held. Shirley Frazier, author of How to Start a Home-Based Gift Basket Business, will conduct the mentoring program, geared to help buyers find solutions to business problems.
Based in Anaheim, California, the 60-member GBPN was founded in 1993 to unite gift
basket industry professionals and to provide support and guidance to learn design techniques, manage inventory and raise the bar in customer service standards. GBPN members meet monthly in the Los Angeles area to discuss industry issues and hear presentations by members and retail experts.
To register, qualified buyers must submit a copy of their retail permit and business card. Additional details are available at the Shows Web site, www.theorangecountygiftshow.com,
