E-books from eboox - new electronic bookstore launched
England, UK. East Anglian based e-book publishing house, eboox.co.uk Ltd, has launched its initial list of e-book titles. A modest, but rapidly growing catalogue offers electronic books in six categories, for immediate download, in the popular Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Reasonably priced to recognise the cost-effectiveness of the medium versus printed books, eboox is confident that the standards of its books match those found in high street bookshops.
Editorial director, Angus Appleby explained, The e-book market is fairly well established in the US, but overall the industry is still in its infancy and trying to find its feet. Considering a number of large publishing houses and mainstream authors have taken the plunge with electronic publishing, we believe the industry is poised to take off. Whilst not replacing the printed book, electronic books are becoming more widely accepted and their popularity will undoubtedly grow."
The company, a subsidiary of a well-established software consultancy, was formed specifically to meet the growing needs of authors in a buoyant UK marketplace. Employing a team of six, eboox has a solid base of retail, publishing, design and technical skills, which it believes to be the perfect mix to ensure that the company is in a strong position to cope as the industry expands.
