Recent developments in M6.net
M6.net meets with rapid growth – M6.net, a small, strong web-hosting company, has grown into one of the few major, reputable and reliable, companies in the hosting industry today. The company started with 12 web sites and 3 clients; and is currently hosting ten thousand web sites across more than 100 countries around the world; this, over a 3 year period. To meet this growth rate, M6.net maintains a steady rate of self-development. Below is a list of recent major developments in M6.net.
Change of Mail server – With the speedy expansion experienced, and the need for room to grow, it became obvious that the mail server had to be upgraded, so M6 decided to replace the whole mail server with a new dedicated and robust server named the Imail 6.0. We had definitely stumbled on a winner, going by all the compliments we received immediately after this change.
Replacing the mail server not only resulted in better and more reliable mail services but also provided many more additional features. Previously it was not possible for M6.net to offer a web interface to the mail service, allowing for both sending and receiving mail via the web. Now one can use the web interface to both send and receive emails; use of digital signatures; attach files; and more. Overall, the new web interface compares favorably to both Hotmail and Yahoo.
Another successful server launch – Last week M6.net successfully launched another Windows 2000 server. This is the third successful Windows 2000 server launch, by M6.net, over the last 2 months. Previously M6 scheduled server launches of 2 over an average of 14-week periods.
Growing Support Team - Last month M6 welcomed another professional support person to its support team to meet the increasing daily requests due to rapid increase in the numbers of accounts. M6 also welcomed another person to its development team for major background development, with plans for full automation in the near future.
