Pleiades Group Receives Free VerticalNet Storefront Courtesy of Microsoft
Fair Lawn, NJ -Pleiades Group, Inc., (a provider of bar code hardware, software and systems), announced today that Microsoft will pay for the launch of a storefront on VerticalNet.com. The storefront is valued at nearly $10,000. In an agreement announced early last year, VerticalNet and Microsoft formed a partnership. As a result of Microsoft's investment, a pre-paid, $0 storefront on PlantAutomation.com was made available Pleiades Group, Inc. for one year, starting today.
PlantAutomation.com is one of 55 communities of commerce represented by VerticalNet. VerticalNet has reported statistics where 19% of qualified leads result in a sale, 25% of those leads had no previous awareness of the supplier, the average size order is $23,590 and 10% of purchases are at least $100K. VerticalNet provides Virtual Office a management tool for efficient updates to the storefront, as well as traffic and sales reporting.
The catch? VerticalNet hopes the 1 year, no cost storefront will drive enough traffic to the web site and sales leads via e-mail that it will pay for itself and paid renewal in one year will be an easy decision for Pleiades Group, Inc.
