     MISSISSIPPI TRAVEL MEDIA AWARD 2000
               

(March 2001 -Miami, FL) Continuing its role as the nations leading travel trade publication, Recommend Magazine has won the Mississippi Travel Media Award 2000 for the best travel trade publication. The honors were awarded at the Mississippi Governors Conference on Tourism that was hosted by the Mississippi Tourism Association and the Mississippi Department of Tourism.

The award was presented by Mr. J.C. Burns, Director of the Mississippi Development Authority, which oversees the Mississippi Department of Tourism to Recommend Magazine for its outstanding contributions, support and promotion of the State. During 2000, Recommend Magazine focused extensive editorial coverage on Mississippi including The Mississippi Miracle," a survey piece on Heritage and
Eco-tourism in the South, Mississippi Casino Gaming" and Christmas in the South", as well as other sections featuring Mississippi.
