The One Academy Graduates NEW design wins Best of Creative Multimedia Award

The Asia Pacific Multimedia Super Corridor Information Technology & Telecommunications Awards (APMITTA), organized by the MSC, was aimed at providing a platform for technology transfer, innovation and training in the IT, multimedia and telecommunications-related industries.

Held for the second time, this years Best of Creative Multimedia category award went to graduate of The One Academy, Cheang Lin Yew.

The winning project, entitled N.E.W (New Electronic World), took four months to complete. The CD-ROM project was targeted at the young in an effort to encourage them to use the new technology to explore the new electronic world. The interface and navigation system were designed to stimulate users to explore and is user friendly. It combines multiple media such as images, text, sound digital video and special effects.

I was truly exhilarated when my name was announced as the winner of the Best of Creative Multimedia category. I wanted to make my contribution towards the new media and this is a very encouraging first step for me," says Cheang.

I am truly grateful to The One Academy for giving me the freedom and support to conduct the research and construct the project. And whats more, The One Academy was the one who provided me with the essential foundation and sound expertise that was so needed to create a project such as this," adds Cheang.

Cheang hopes to hove his work recognized by the industry, especially helping the new generation to explore and make full use of the new electronic world.
