Welcome to Sports Careers! - the UKs first sports recruitment agency.
From Wednesday April 11 movement of staff within British sport will become easier and more structured thanks to the launch of a new company, Sports Careers Limited.
Sports Careers has been working closely with a number of influential bodies and associations within the UK sporting industry, including the League Managers Association, the Professional Cricketers Association, the Rugby Football Union, the Rugby League Players Association and the Lawn Tennis Association.
From coaches to commercial staff, Sports Careers has created a national database of sports professionals - a perfect resource for sports clubs and businesses - to ensure the best people secure the best jobs in sport.
As well as making recruitment easier, one of the companys principal aims is to help retrain and re-employ many of the talented sportsmen and women forced out of the sports industry each year.
Sports Careers director Llion Ogden said: We are committed to providing a service which will benefit not only sports clubs and employers but also the players and staff who are sometimes overlooked.
This is a great opportunity for sportspeople to land their ideal job and sports businesses to recruit top-class individuals with a passion for sport."
John Barnwell, chief executive of the League Managers Association, said: This is a valuable resource for sports professionals. For the first time employers in sport have a choice when it comes to recruitment. Sports Careers offers a service which should be embraced by the sports and leisure industry."
Andy Goodway, secretary of the Rugby League Players Association, said: Sports Careers offers a new and unique service which will benefit sport."
