Acclaimed Writer's Website Shifts Focus
Young author Mike Schiller's website is nearing it's one-year anniversary. Since launching in July 2000, the site has logged over 20,000 viewer impressions- due mostly to the addition of a collection of his collected poetry works.
Initially, the website was launched as an online music magazine with music reviews and charts, but the poetry was added later to divesify the site's content. The response was massive. In January, another section with practical political activism resources was added as a further enhancement. The website grew to over 150 pages, and become difficult for only one person to maintain in it's entirety. Since the poetry was the main attraction of the website, MikeSchiller.Com finally found it's identity.
Today a new MikeSchiller.Com has been unveilied which focuses solely on the writer's poetry and other related work. Numerous interactive features will enable visitors to share their own writing with others, and several new creative writing focused departments will be unveilied within the next month.
The advertisements which once littered the site's pages have been eliminated, with an entirely new business model replacing them. Mike Schiller will offer visitors the opportunity to book him for poetry readings, public speaking engagements, and private at-home creative writing instruction.
With a book and a spoken word CD slated to
be released by the International Library Of Poetry to stores worldwide later this year, Mike Schiller knew the timing was right to re-focus the website and develop a new business plan.
MikeSchiller.Com's average visitation stands at over 3,000 viewer impressions per month.
