"The grand opening and open house is our way of celebrating the new Easton location. We are encouraging families to enjoy a variety of fun activities and become familiar with who we are and what we are about," noted Eileen Rappold, new co-owner and manager of the new Easton location.
This is the first location to be independently owned and operated and managed as part of a "franchise model". The South Easton center kicks off an ambitious "Partnering in Excellence" program launched by Fourth Degree Black Belt and two time World Champion and founder of Personal Best Karate, Christopher Rappold.
The new Easton center features a wide range of classes including a Karate Ranger program for young children (3-6), Young Adults (7-12), Teens and Adults (13 and up).
THIRD LOCATION, FIRST OF A NEW CONCEPT
In addition to the South Easton facility, Personal Best also operates centers in Norton and Foxboro, MA. The organization was founded in 1991. As a historic point, Personal Best Karate's first location was in Easton and was then moved to Norton for more expansive space.
"This center is the prototype for Personal Best martial arts centers of the future. We will be helping to set new and demanding standards for innovative programming, compassionate and inspiring teaching, community outreach, and student development," commented Dana Rappold, co-owner and manager.
.
Black Belt Donna Johnson, who will be heading up the Karate Ranger program for children, noted, "We are excited about helping people to develop themselves to achieve their fullest potential. Since the constant pursuit of Karate is directed toward the perfect control of mind and body, the attitude of the Personal Best student is based on peace and harmony with others, never advocating nor looking for trouble. When an individual has true confidence in him/herself, they can be polite and respectful to others. They do not have to show off. They can act with humility and dignity. Physical strength and mental energy can be used for constructive causes, such as helping others and improving society."
Husband and wife team Dana and Eileen Rappold, brother and sister-in-law to Christopher Rappold, Personal Best Karate founder, have been involved in martial arts for over seven years. Plymouth residents, they look forward to sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm with the community.
Another member of their management team is Black Belt Dana Scott. Scott will assist with the Adult and Young Adult classes.
COMMUNITY AND KARATE ARE A GOOD MIX
From the "Turkey Brigade" which helps feed over 500 families each Thanksgiving to raising over $7,500 for Chuck Norris' "Kick Drugs Out of America" to providing nearly 1,000 toys annually for "Toys for Tots", Personal Best Karate has made it an integral part of its mission to make a positive impact on the community. South Easton will embrace this philosophy, and several charitable events are planned for the near future.
PARTNERSHIP WITH A PUNCH
Partnership opportunities for Personal Best Karate are now being offered throughout Massachusetts. "Personal Best Karate is spearheading an effort to establish a code of professional practices and ethical standards for the martial arts industry," underscored founder Christopher Rappold.
Educators, coaches, managers and others skilled in working with and motivating children and adults are encouraged to explore this business opportunity - the ability to be a team player far exceeds the importance of martial arts experience.
