14 year old r&b / pop singer April, releases her debut album entitled "Touch The Sky"
April is a 14 year old singer / songwriter from Seattle, WA who has made a major impact on the teen pop scene. Working with super producer Jae-E" James Earley, whose credits include One Vo1ce, EnVogue, Hammer and Marky Mark, she released her first single Caught A Crush On You" in August of 2000.
Her album is a mixture of smooth ballads, ear catching pop and hard hitting R&B bringing a different flavor to the ears of the mainstream music scene.
Aprils second single 2 Young 2 Commit" has received radio play in markets such as Seattle, California and Texas. This generated a great street buzz and helped break her into mainstream America.
April has been dubbed as Seattles National Anthem Girl" a team and crowd favorite at various sporting events including the Mariners, Seahawks, Sonics and Storm games. She will be taking her singing talents to the San Francisco bay area opening for the Golden State Warriors, 49ers and San Jose Sharks.
She has been featured in numerous media spots and publications nationwide. This list includes a nationwide commercial for the Disney Channel. A feature article in Teen Celebrity Magazine Feb. 2001 issue and Teen Beat All-Stars, several internet site interviews, and an exclusive interview on San Franciscos KZQZ 95.7 and KYLD 94.9FM.
April made a huge leap into the spotlight with her smashing performance at the KZQZ 95.7 Jingle Ball 2000, when she opened and closed the show, which featured acts such as 98 Degrees, Pink, Mya, Brian Mcknight and Son By Four. She is also involved in many community events throughout the west coast showcasing her skills at numerous fairs, festivals, college campuses and shopping malls.
She has been getting numerous spins throughout the club scene in markets such as Seattle, Portland, Hawaii, North Carolina, LA, Sacramento and the SF Bay Area.
Future events include a west coast mall tour to promote the new album. Several in-store appearances at retail stores and a few more concert events. She is looking to venture to the east coast for events in the summer and fall of 2001.
