eDeltaC Communications Pvt Ltd, an self-funded online marketing company, is currently celebrating its first birthday. The firm is competing successfully with venture capitalist funded ad networks to provide online marketing solutions to blue chip clients like ICICI, Samsung and CNBC. eDeltaC offers services in online Advertising, online Public Relations and online Direct Marketing.
Were delighted to complete our first year, in the face of the dotcom crash, VC skepticism, plummeting card rates and uncertain media spends. The ride was rough, but were happy to announce that we have broken even. In the next financial year, we expect to grow at 200% at least, given that the advertisers will be looking for revenues to justify their online ventures. Our clients online billings this year exceed Rs. 3 crores, " said co-founder and CEO Hemant Soreng, a graduate of IIM Bangalore whos worked at HTA.
Sandeep Joseph, co-founder and CMO, said: We prefer working with those brands which are seriously looking at revenues online, like market leaders ICICIdirect.com. These clients realize that online marketing is more than banners and pop-ups. Advertising on the Internet is low cost, highly measurable and lean-forward". Its far more sales driven than traditional advertising, and media innovations can really make an impact, because the medium hasnt seen much in this regard by other players. Thats why weve designed Flash banners, interactive banners, microsites etc. Our innovations get sustained click-thrus over 3-5 times the industry average." Sandeep was at IIM Bangalore with Hemant, then worked with Leo Burnett.
Said co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Prasanth Mohanachandran: The future belongs to the only killer application of the Net: e-mail marketing. Our unique tracking software allows sales leads generation with remarkable efficiency, without violating privacy laws. Its a clutter-busting solution, which we are currently offering only our clients."
Prasanth, who has developed software for CMC, Glare and DBS Internet, also spoke of a unique ad monitoring software called Adwatchman. It will revolutionize the way banner advertising is monitored, and can become the standard that the industry is so desperately seeking, but at the moment thats all I can reveal. "
About the future, Soreng said, The future belongs to those who move fast, and adapt to the technology the Net throws up. For instance, in online PR, where we organized the first online Press conference in India, huge potential exists, but no PR firm is utilizing the technology the net provides. Its exciting because the rule book on Internet marketing hasnt been written. And you need to constantly upgrade your offerings-not everyone will survive, among the ad agencies online. We know their financial positions: some are precariously positioned. This only vindicates our belief in the brand-centric route versus the technology routes to online marketing."
