Ten-Year-Old Named President of Technology Company

Morgan McHugh, age 10, was named president of PuterBabies, a technology focused company. The company sells soft and cuddly toys with technology names that sit on computer monitors.

RALEIGH, N.C., June 18/ -- While hundreds of DotComs have gone bankrupt, a Ten-Year old plans to grow her business. Morgan McHugh, age 10, was named president of PuterBabies, a technology focused company. The company sells soft and cuddly toys with technology names that sit on computer monitors. Morgan has been working with the company since its inception and was named president, taking over responsibilities of growing the company to the next level.

Attending school, swimming, singing, and playing with friends, Morgan still finds time to speak at business groups among her other responsibilities within the company. Recently she spoke to over 200 high school students at a youth leadership conference on entrepreneurial activities. Morgan enjoys the public spotlight stating, I hope I can encourage others to capture their dreams".

PuterBabies sells four-inch plush toys, with names like "Byte" the dog, "Bandwidth" the raccoon and "Spam" the pig. The PuterBabies enemies are the Viruses that live in VirusVille with names like "2K," "Melissa," and "Michelangelo." They are available at http://www.PuterBabies.com or at their enemy's headquarters at http://www.VirusVille.com. ($2.99 each) In all there are 32 different PuterBabies and six Viruses living in VirusVille. The website has birth certificates for each of the PuterBabies and Viruses as well as a "Fun Center" where you can play interactive games on the web. An "Education Center" can also be found where you can learn more about the technology of the PuterBabies.

"We hope to grow and not only sell PuterBabies, but to be the first technology focused cartoon on TV. Kids and adults will learn about computers and have fun doing it," says Morgan. PuterBabies is also working with schools and not-for-profit organizations for fund-raising. The company also plans to donate part of their profits to organizations to fight Aids and cancer.
