FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

U.S. CELLULAR SELECTS TELESYS SOFTWARE
TO PROVIDE ENHANCED NETWORK SERVICES
MACH7-iSTP Offers Wireless Telecommunication Solutions for Business Customers

BURLINGAME, Calif. (July 23, 2001) - teleSys Software, Inc., today announced that it has signed a network services agreement with U.S. Cellular (AMEX: USM) to deploy the MACH7-iSTP Gateway system - a high-speed SS7 signaling network. The system will enhance U.S. Cellular's wireless office service and provide its business customers with affordable, secure network connectivity, while enabling the company to take advantage of the efficiencies of an Internet Protocol network.
Under the agreement, U.S. Cellular will leverage teleSys' advanced technology to provide its wireless office subscribers with a single-phone, single-number system that serves as a wireless office phone on the enterprise telephone network, while automatically connecting customers to the external cellular network when outside the office. The system will enable subscribers of this service to make and receive calls in a building or campus environment using all the features of their office phones, such as call transfer and forwarding, four- or five-digit dialing, and three-way calling. Calls made or received within range of the system will not incur per-minute airtime charges.
"The new MACH7-iSTP Gateway system will enable U.S. Cellular to expand its wireless telecommunication services," said Larry Sipovic, product development manager for U.S. Cellular. "It will improve the level of quality, support and technology that we provide to our business customers and create a more efficient architecture for our network."
